Phenolic Paper Sheet, also known as phenolic paper board or phenolic resin laminate, is manufactured by impregnating cellulose-based insulating paper with phenolic resin and curing it under controlled heat and pressure. It offers a good combination of mechanical strength and dielectric performance and can be machined into various electrical insulation components. Because of its balance of performance and cost, Phenolic Paper Sheet is widely used in motors, transformers, household appliances, instruments, and low-voltage electrical equipment.
Different PFCP grades are designed for different operating conditions.
PFCP201: For mechanical applications. It has better mechanical properties than other PFCP grades, but relatively poor electrical properties under normal humidity. Suitable for hot punching. NEMA: X.
PFCP202: For power-frequency voltage applications. It has high dielectric strength in oil and good dielectric strength in air under normal humidity. NEMA: XX. Industry Standard: 3020.
PFCP203: For mechanical and electrical applications. It has good electrical properties under normal humidity and is suitable for hot punching. NEMA: XXP. Industry Standard: 3021.
PFCP204: For electrical and electronic applications. It provides stable electrical performance under humid conditions and is suitable for cold punching or hot punching. NEMA: XXX.
PFCP205: Similar to PFCP204, but with lower flammability. NEMA: FR-2.
PFCP206: For mechanical and electrical applications. It provides good electrical performance under humid conditions and is suitable for hot punching, including applications requiring insulation resistance after water immersion. NEMA: XXXP.
PFCP207: Similar to PFCP201, but with improved punching performance at low temperatures. Commonly known as cold-punching grade. Mainly used for mechanical applications, with relatively low electrical performance. NEMA: XPC.
PFCP308: Similar to PFCP206, but with lower flammability. Its flame-retardant performance is better than NEMA FR-1 and lower than FR-2.
