As global industries continue moving toward higher electrical performance, better thermal stability, and longer equipment service life, industrial thermoset laminates remain essential materials in electrical insulation, mechanical processing, and structural engineering applications.

YILONG continues to provide a wide range of high-performance laminate materials including epoxy glass laminates, phenolic laminates, silicone glass laminates, and melamine glass laminates for customers in electrical, industrial, aerospace, and machinery industries.
Industrial laminates are composite materials manufactured by impregnating reinforcing substrates such as paper, cotton fabric, or glass cloth with thermoset resin systems under heat and pressure. The result is a dense and mechanically stable material with strong electrical insulation and dimensional stability.
Among the most widely used materials, G10 and FR4 Glass Reinforced Epoxy laminates remain popular because of their excellent mechanical strength, low water absorption, and reliable dielectric properties. These materials are extensively used in electrical insulation structures, switchgear components, transformer parts, and precision machined industrial parts.
Compared with standard epoxy laminates, G11 and FR5 grades offer improved thermal resistance and better mechanical retention at elevated temperatures. FR grades also provide flame-retardant properties, making them suitable for applications requiring additional fire safety performance.
For applications involving high arc resistance and elevated operating temperatures, G7 Glass Reinforced Silicone laminates continue to gain attention across the electrical insulation industry. Manufactured using woven glass cloth combined with silicone resin systems, G7 materials provide stable dielectric performance under dry conditions and excellent resistance to heat and electrical arcing. These properties make G7 suitable for high-temperature electrical insulation, industrial heating equipment, and demanding electronic environments.
Glass Reinforced Melamine laminates such as G5 and G9 are recognized for their hardness, rigidity, and arc resistance. Their resistance to caustic environments also makes them useful in selected industrial insulation systems where surface durability is important.
Traditional phenolic laminate materials still maintain strong market demand because of their cost efficiency and machining capability. Paper Reinforced Phenolic grades including X, XX, and XXX are widely used for dry electrical insulation and general industrial fabrication. Cotton fabric reinforced phenolic materials such as Canvas C, CE, Linen L, and LE grades are preferred for mechanical applications requiring wear resistance, machinability, and structural stability.
Medium weave phenolic materials like G3 are commonly used in tubes, bushings, rings, spacers, and insulating structural parts where moderate heat resistance and mechanical strength are required.
With the continuous expansion of renewable energy systems, industrial automation, electric vehicles, and high-voltage power equipment, demand for advanced thermoset laminate materials is expected to grow steadily. Manufacturers are increasingly focusing on improved thermal performance, better dimensional stability, enhanced arc resistance, and precision machining characteristics.
YILONG remains committed to supplying reliable industrial laminate materials with stable quality, flexible machining support, and professional export service for global customers. Contact us now for more information at yilong@yilonginsulation.com.
