As a result, it has very limited ability to absorb internal stress or accommodate deformation. In real applications, such materials are prone to breakage, difficult to process, and can lead to significant material waste. More seriously, they may cause quality failures in critical applications.
Aside from being snapped for “stress relief,” it is hard to imagine any practical use for such poor-quality Phenolic Cotton Board.
